CASE STUDY

NATIONAL FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

The Football Association of Wales have recently undergone a £5 million re-development at the Colliers Park site in Wrexham. The National Football Development Centre is an impressive new facility including a state-of-the-art 3D pitch as well as two top quality grass training pitches. The new and extended building boasts impressive changing room areas as well as analysis rooms and medical facilities.

The Simply Group were approached by a leading construction group, to provide lockers to the changing room areas to enhance the high-quality finish required for the project. The core objective was to design, manufacture and install your stereotypical ‘football style locker’ which The Simply Group have supplied quite frequently to differing football clubs over recent years. The contrast of walnut carcasses and doors with a red backdrop achieved a striking aesthetic to compliment the colour scheme chosen for the project.

We supplied and fitted 42 football lockers, constructed from 18mm MFC bodies and doors. These hard-wearing lockers were the perfect choice for the project, achieving the desired effect required for the application.

Fitted to the top of the carcass were small lockable compartments with matching walnut MFC doors, finished with brushed aluminum number discs and standard cam locks.

We hope the players using this new state-of-the-art training facility shall enjoy full use of the activation areas, learning suites, pitches and changing facilities.
