Fazakerley High School have introduced lockers to their school providing a secure place for their pupils to store their personal belongings.
The Simply Group were approached by Fazakerley High School to supply lockers due to them wanting to implement a no phone policy and control the use of mobile phones on site, coupled with the fact that it would also ensure their pupils had a secure place to store their personal belongings.
A site visit was carried out to survey possible locations across both the Ground and First floors, working out how we would achieve the desired 900 compartments that were needed. As the school has never had lockers before, they were looking for guidance as to the exact configuration and structure required. After listening to what look they wanted to achieve, whilst taking into consideration that the lockers would primarily be positioned in ‘high traffic areas’, we put forward our Solid Grade Laminate locker range – a tough and durable solution for a high school setting. Each compartment was fitted with a cam lock.
The lockers were supplied with sloping tops to prevent the accumulation of rubbish, or bags and books accumulating on top of them. Each door complimented a 32mm diameter brushed aluminium effect number disc, making it clear for each individual student to easily find their personal locker space.
The team at Fazakerley High School really wanted the lockers to incorporate their corporate colour – Royal Blue, as well as adding in splashes of red and white to really provide a bright and fresh feel, ready for when the pupils return to school.
